Hello and welcome to Ladybridge Primary School.

Ladybridge Primary School is a community school for children aged 4-11 years, catering for up to 420 children. The school first opened in 1969, and is set in extensive grounds in the centre of the Ladybridge estate. We are a happy, positive and caring school, where we are all expected to work hard to achieve the best we can.

The school is well resourced with 14 spacious, light and modern classrooms, as well as a number of additional learning rooms for ICT, cookery, art and nurturing. There is a good size hall, used for P.E. and also for dining at lunchtime. There are three large playgrounds and a football field, surrounded by vast grassed playing areas. There is a tyre park  and climbing equipment for the younger children and an adventure trail and climbing wall for the older ones, plus a range of external fitness equipment for children to use during their playtimes. All pupils also have access to our daily mile track, and regularly run/walk on this during class time, PE lessons and during breaks.

Within the school grounds, pupils also have access to a wildlife area, planting areas and outside seating, all of which enable staff to take learning outside the classroom. The school also has an on-site extended day care facility for before and after school child care (Labracadabra) which is exclusively for pupils at this school. As a result, children get to participate in a wide range of first-hand, practical and enjoyable activities and experiences: creating unforgettable memories.

We know how important it is that our children learn the basic skills in English, mathematics and computing, including having the opportunity to use and apply them into a range of different situations. We are constantly striving to strike the right balance between high academic standards and all round development. Providing children with this balanced and solid foundation enables them to approach new learning with enthusiasm and confidence.

Building positive relationships through taking the time to get to really know and understand your child is central to being at Ladybridge. This enables us to uncover and nurture each child’s talents, and provide the guidance and support that will allow your child to grow and excel in all that they do. Learning at Ladybridge is hard, but definitely fun. I love it here!

If you require any further information (including paper copies of any of the documents on this website) or would like to visit the school, please do not hesitate to contact us.
