Community Spirit

Community spirit really matters; it promotes participation, friendship and a sense of belonging

I am proud of the way our pupils, parents/carers and staff foster a sense of community within school and its neighbourhood. Our PTFA is a glowing example of working in partnership; their forthcoming Halloween Disco is a terrific way of bringing people together for fun!

Digging the Dirt with Firwood High!

It’s been lovely to meet with pupils from Firwood High, who are helping to restore our nature area into a nature haven again. We are very grateful for their work, in conjunction with our Chair of Governors, Nicola Burgess.

A Bumper Harvest

Thank you to everyone who donated goods for today’s Harvest Assembly.

Dave Bagley, from Urban Outreach, gave pupils and parents/carers a very entertaining and insightful talk on the work of the Winter Watch project in Bolton. He explained how the donated food helps to ensure those in need have a hot meal in the cold winter months. All of our pupils sang their hearts out, and Dave said, “Of all the schools he visits, this is his favourite, as the children are so happy and friendly.”
