As you know, we are very proud of the diversity across our school. Learning about and celebrating different cultures and religions is an integral and important part of our school life. As a result, our school community develops harmonious relationships, understanding
and mutual respect.
From time to time, pupils can say things that go against these important British values. Please help us by regularly talking to your child about their beliefs and views, so that:
Ø Your child doesn’t come to school imposing their beliefs on others
Ø Your child doesn’t tell other children that their beliefs are wrong
Ø Your child understands that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs (and that their beliefs may be different, even within the same religion)
Thank you for supporting our school with helping to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect, plus tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
Ø Your child understands that everyone has the freedom to choose which bits of religious and cultural practice to follow.
