Theme of the Week
7 June 2017
Every week we have a carefully selected theme. This is used to guide our assemblies as well as reinforce important messages for the children. The children enjoy guessing why a particular theme has been chosen, with many of them becoming increasingly skilled at ‘thinking and linking’, and articulating their thoughts. Themes this year have included: ‘no excuses’, ‘half-time’, ‘stonecutter’, ‘one word’ and ‘check it’.
Our latest theme is ‘repeat’, and gave us the opportunity to reflect upon the importance that repetition and practise have on learning and improvement.
Please take a few minutes each week to ask your child(ren) about the theme, and help them understand why it has been chosen.
